Ours was like that in Tucson, and adding it made all the difference. It's not a chemical additive in the usual sense - perfectly natural element that is missing. The Extension Service, though they can be rather chemical-oriented, can really help with these things, at least understanding the cause. And they may still test your soil for free. I know you have Mel's mix, so maybe this is irrelevant.Peg Lewishttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18045192551906290398noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-630729253136820660.post-82901700087913958672009-06-25T16:42:20.455-07:002009-06-25T16:42:20.455-07:00Sue, do the spots look like mine?Sue, do the spots look like mine?Tonihttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07251147737253912516noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-630729253136820660.post-27143555704569836752009-06-25T14:32:13.609-07:002009-06-25T14:32:13.609-07:00OK... thanks EG! Once the plants get bushy, it is very common for the lowest leaves to do just that, though.Jeff Vandiverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07200011426236637927noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-630729253136820660.post-60718514154229969392009-06-25T13:06:29.713-07:002009-06-25T13:06:29.713-07:00I'll be interested to see what the problem is....I'll be interested to see what the problem is.
