Out playing in the rain...

I'm on a mission... a gardening mission...

My mission is to get my remaining 4 boxes filled with Mel's Mix this week!!!

So... with that in mind... I was out playing in the light rainfall and filled what will be my carrot box! Yeah!!!

You should see my shoes! All caked with mud!

Those of you who have traversed this journey... know that... it is NO small feat to accomplish this goal...

Rain... Glorious Rain!

Well, we only get on average 6 inches of moisture a year here in the high desert of northern Wyoming...

So... rain... glorious... rain!

It's like everything is turning green right before my eyes!

My plants must be loving this!

Now... if I could just get the rest of my Mel's Mix done... so that I can get the rest of my Romas in the beds!

Mandan Corn is sprouting!

Everyday I see changes in my garden! It's so exciting! I have certainly been "bitten" by the gardening bug... LOL!

My Mandan Corn is sprouting!!!

And this weekend, we enjoyed little snipits of fresh lettuce, spinach, arugula on our sandwiches.

Just ordered popping corn seed

I had my young pre-teen son up the garden yesterday and was telling him about the corn that I've planted so far (Mandan, Sweet Yellow).

He had the great idea of planting Popping Corn!

So I just ordered some Japanese Popcorn seed from Gurney's. Hope it doesn't take too long to get here!

I had thought that I'd be able to spend the whole day working on my SFG... but ended up taking my pre-teen to the dentist for a rescheduled appointment...

But! I did get another 4x4 filled with Mel's Mix... and my future carrot 4x4 (8" deep) is almost filled! As you know... that is a huge accomplishment!

You should see me! I'm so covered in grime... but loving it! Off to the bath!

wooohooo... got the corn planted!

The other day I planted Mandan corn... today I got some sweet corn planted!

Found my camera... battery's dead though.

Also put some flowers in hanging baskets... I know... I need to post some pics.
