I love that mix! Mel asked me to check out SFG in China when we lived there, and I thought making his soil mix would be a problem there. But NO! Making vermiculite is one of their main industries. It would have been great seeing that get off the ground.
I've finally tracked down some Vermiculite in Cody at a garden center. It's quite expensive though... $34.95/3cu'. I figured that I'll need about 3 cu' per 4x4x6 bed..
