a little harvest of greens...

A few yummy greens!

Thinned out the baby carrot square, took off a few spinach leaves, and thinned the beets.

On my walk with the dog up the canal above our place, I found 3 sprigs of asparagus!

A meager harvest... but I'll take it!

Plopped it all into my Vita Mixer for a green shake!

Here in northern Wyoming gardens are just getting started.  Been a cool spring here with lots of rain.... and wind!

  1. Oh I'd love to have picked three sprigs of asparagus. I can't wait until I have my whole garden up and can plant some next spring.

  2. I agree! I wish we were still in asparagus season. So sad it is only around a few weeks a year!

  3. Congratulations on your asparagus find. I don't imagine you much like such cool weather. I wish we could trade. We're unually hot and humid here in Illinois. The plants look okay, but it's wilting the gardener.

  5. It's 50 here, no matter when we look at the thermometer, just about. But we have a hot spot on our deck in July and August, and I'm hoping just hoping that some container squash, tomatoes, and beans make it to the dinner table this year. Of course the greens love it year round - gotta find time to plant them, that's all.

Congratulations on your little green harvest!

  6. Sounds like a nice green drink. I have to admit to not trying my greens like this yet. Mostly they are eaten in salad or stirfry.

  7. Any harvest is better then no harvest! It's so exciting when the garden starts to produce!

  10. OOH Asparagus! I'm giddy for you.

Tell EG you'll pour a half bottle of ranch dressing on those greens and he'll be just fine. ;)
